Sis was already decided to stay at Red Coconut Beach Hotel and they were already in a panic mode to make reservations because online booking was already closed. Unfortunately I only saw the comment of mareng Nini today and haven't suggested the Regency lagoon with them. Anyway, sissy was too generous to gave us free room accomodation so we only need to shoulder our airfare! I reserved one Premier room for her brother in law and four Deluxe rooms for us, I guess everybody will be excited with this mini reunion.

Christmas Box
My mom was really disappointed because her expected balikbayan box has not been delivered until now. Most of her Christmas gifts were there especially the chocolates that she’s supposed to give to the kids during Christmas day. She doesn’t want to visit her former colleagues in National Telecommunications Commission because of the “missing chocolates”; her visit with her colleagues will not be complete without the chocolates. That’s why my brother decided to buy chocolates in Duty Free and avail of their tempting promos. I was told that almost all her (mom) things in the US were already sent here including her blankets, gifts like the american products pool light and some pots and pans from her siblings. I did not want to spoil her Christmas but I told her that I guess the box will be delivered maybe on the third or fourth week of January.

Christmas Fever
Eleven days to go before Christmas, the more I am afraid to go shopping or even go out because of the heavy traffic. Luckily I was able to almost finish my shopping list without any hassle; maybe I will postpone my trip to Divisoria after Christmas and buy something for myself this time. A few clothes will do castaƱas and fruits in time for welcoming the New Year. I hope the rain will stop early next week, but unfortunately it was forecasted that we will be having a high tide so I really don’t expect many visitors on Christmas. But I hope we can bring PJ when we meet with my other siblings, nephews and niece, anyway this is the best time of the year to be with the family and relatives. My sister from the US gave me a card, I’m wondering if she included pacsun coupons inside.

Duty Free Philippines
Despite the super heavy traffic last Saturday, we still went to Duty Free Philippines with our empty stomach. Good thing I did not bring a car, my brother was our driver that day, Duty Free- Bulacan – Cavite. I was looking for a Mizuno shoes or Crocs for the kids, but there were only limited designs available and the price is almost the same in the mall. We were expecting a large crowd inside but we only saw a few shoppers, maybe consumers are now conscious on wise spending, because when you’re inside the amounts are pegged in dollars and you may be blinded to buy some more because of the promos, then you’ll be surprised when you’re already on the cashier to pay your purchases.

House Hunting
I temporarily put on hold my search for a property to give way to the Christmas preparation which includes buying Christmas gifts and Christmas party preparation at the office. It was really difficult to find “the right one” because of some major considerations. One- budget, two- location, three- environment, and the most important is to get approval from my kids. We almost buy the lot in Malabon, it’s a flood free area but I’m not sure with the community, lastly most of my relatives and friends disagree with the location. I was offered a lot in UE Subdivision, the place that we really wanted to own a property, but the lot was too big, hence more expensive. We plan to acquire a property through bank loan so we still have money to spend for some furniture like log beds, dining table, cabinets and a living room showcase.

Christmas Shopping
I think December is the busiest month of the year. Especially a week before Christmas, people rushed to their favorite tiangges, malls and sale warehouses to consume their bonuses and buy their Christmas presents. It rained the whole day yesterday but it did not stop me from buying Christmas presents for my pamangkins, I also bought shirts for my boys. Thanks to the rain the mall was not crowded even the busiest fast food chain in SM Marilao, KFC. The kids picked their choices of their gifts from me at Toy Kingdom, I’d like to visit some more stores for my other lists but I was worried to get trapped by the rain which can cause flood in our area. I got the chance to see my former classmate who’s now working in a recruitment agency and she’s going to meet clients who are interested in Radiologic Technologist Jobs that they offer. According to the weather forecast, it will be a rainy week I hope it will not be extended until Christmas.
