Our Wednesday Badminton group temporarily skip our once a week game by celebrating our annual Christmas party at CenterStage Family KTV and Resto Bar at Jupiter Street in Makati last week. We have three new players now and we really enjoyed their company. But unfortunately we did not find any latest or new karaoke songs from the list. Maybe that's why their available package rate was a lot cheaper compared to other KTV bar and restaurant but they offer bigger rooms instead. I hope if there will be a "next time", we can celebrate it at Red Box in Makati.

The Most Expensive $11 Million Christmas Tree
Money doesn't grow on trees, but that didn't stop a hotel in the United Arab Emirates from decking out a Christmas tree with $11 million in decorations.
In an over-the-top display of holiday opulence already acknowledged as an "overload" by the hotel management, staff at the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi covered a 43-foot-tall fake evergreen with jewelry, pearls, emeralds, sapphires and more than 180 diamonds.
Called the "most expensive Christmas tree ever" by hotel general manager Hans Olbertz when it was put up last week, the arbor was supposed to make headlines by besting a $10.8 million record-holding Christmas tree decorated in Tokyo in 2002. Instead, it became a symbol of holiday excess.
Critics tried to chop the opulent tree down to size, calling it a gimmick that uproots the holiday spirit.
In response, the hotel attempted to distance itself from the tree in its lobby -- saying the publicity stunt was planned and orchestrated by the Style Gallery, which owns all of the decorations.
"The hotel is just a venue for exhibiting the tree," hotel management said in a statement quoted in the Toronto Sun.
Emirates Palace management also said it regrets "attempts to overload the tradition followed by most hotels in the country with meanings and connotations that do not fall in line with the professional standards which the Emirates Palace Hotel keenly respects and complies with."
The decorations might be garish, but they're not entirely unexpected. The Emirates Palace is well known for luxurious gimmicks, including a vending machine that sells gold. source

Gifts and Presents for Christmas
Ten more days to go before Christmas! I asked Makoy last night why he’s so excited for the Christmas Day; he said he was excited for the gifts he will receive from us. One time he asked me if I already bought a gift for them, of course I denied it. Yesterday my mom picked up my brother at the airport; more overseas workers are expected to arrive until next week to be with their loved ones for Christmas. My brother will leave for Tacloban today so he already gave his Christmas present for the kids last night. His baggage includes one big balikbayan box, I saw a Nintendo for his daughter, chocolates, and lotion which I thought was a male enhancement cream and few pieces of his clothes.

Special Non Working Holidays
Yahoo! Special Non Working Holidays this coming Christmas week! December 25 and 27, 2010 are regular holidays; while 24 and 31 are special non-working days.
This was learned from Secretary Hermino "Sonny" Coloma of the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO), in a text message, after Executive Secretary Paquito "Jojo" N. Ochoa, Jr. cleared him to make public the December holidays per Proclamation No. 1841 issued by former President Gloria M. Arroyo on July 21, 2009.
According to the proclamation, aside from December 25 ? Christmas day, December 27 is also a regular holiday as the nearest Monday to December 30 ? Rizal Day.
In the same proclamation, December 24 was also declared as additional special non-working day in the country to "foster closer family ties and enable our countrymen to observe Christmas more meaningful".
With the long weekend, the government expects that this would help strengthen family relationships, renew ties for a longer period of time, and promote domestic tourism.

Fishing Hangover
I could not get enough of the fishing experience I had few days ago. I thought it was just one ordinary boring thing but in reality, it was a complete fun! Waiting has always been a no-no for me and who’s gonna say there is excitement in it? Well, fishing does! The fun lies on how soon you are going to make a fool of the fish to have a big bite on your bait and finally trap itself on the hook. I was so wound up that even the littlest move of my rod would pump up my adrenalin. Haha! Now, it gives me a thought to include the fishing paraphernalia in my list when I buy my breakroom supplies. Well now, I am having my adrenalin rush...

Business at Heart
Heard of the word -- lymphedema? I just learned that is a permanent swelling of the tissues and can be related to the condition of elephantiasis. Swelling in the arm can be a side effect of breast cancer treatment. Compression sleeves are worn to suppress the continuous swelling.
Good thing -- there were two breast cancer survivors who initiated the marketing of fashionable compression sleeves which are made up of elegant, comfortable and medically advanced materials. They are serious about it that they disseminated compression stockings information online. I was inspired to share that they have the strong will to help others who are experiencing the same condition as theirs. Mabuhay kayo!

Fishing in Batangas
When my kids woke up on our second day in Batangas, they asked their uncle to go on fishing. It was our first time to do this and we all had a good time. They all asked for a fishing rod and waited for the fish to eat their bait.
Wow! look at my first catch!
I contributed 2 pieces on this more than five kilos milkfish

Miss Earth 2010
I was fascinated by the amazing beauty of Miss Nicole Faria from India who was crowned Miss Earth 2010 at Vinpearl Land Amphitheatre in Nha Trang, Vietnam. All women dreamt of wearing a fashionable swimsuit, I haven’t experienced yet wearing a sexy swimsuit because of my unwanted and obvious bulges around my stomach area. Do I need a miracle? Maybe but I think a good fat burner like Lipofuze will do and I will have the privilege to wear a swimsuit like this. But I should also build my confidence before wearing this one.

Villa Escudero
Four days ago I searched on our old pictures because I planned to do a movie for our anniversary. I also share these photos with my kids and uploaded them in you tube for easier reference.
Nikko wants to visit this place too!
It's really nice to have these photos for souvenirs.

I Love New York
Dear Santa, my laptop was bought in New York two months ago. Aside from Los Angeles, the city that I wish to visit before my visa expires is New York. Promise I will not reject your gift if you will grant my request so I can finally visit setai new york which was located in a prestigious New York City address. If you won’t mind my dear Santa, I want to bring my family with me so they too will enjoy the overlooking sight of Manhattan from our room and get pleasure in the full-featured spa with its rejuvenating Ice Cave, Aqua Grotto and Hammam.
