Yesterday I renewed my passport at the new DFA building in Diosdado Macapagal. I heard not so good stories about the new processing system and I agree with them 100%. I chose the 7:30 am schedule so I should be there at 7 am. Because of typhoon Basyang I was hesitant to proceed that morning because I was worried on the possible flooded streets and there was no electricity too. But if I will not go on my schedule I heard the next available slots will be after two months, within 20 minutes I hurriedly fixed myself and off I go. There was no parking area available so I parked PJ at the nearby Petron station, not knowing that parking fee was thirty pesos per hour! To make the story short, it took me more that three long hours before paying to the cashier and for the photo capturing on the 2nd floor. That day was not my lucky day, when they found out that I was wearing a pair of contact lens they told me to remove it (as if they were asking me to remove my earrings!). I did not bring any contact lens remover so I have no choice but to return later after my office hours. I just hope P-Noy will do something on this, on the old system you can allot only one hour for passport renewal. I was so dissapointed that I don't know if I still need a Lipofuze to burn my fats and anger.
